Northern Lights Santa stands about 50 cm tall. He has a porcelain head and hands and is based on a  400mm plant tower wire frame. His coat has small holes punched into the quilted fabric coat and seedlights stitched on the reverse side to shine through the holes.
The fabrics are cream based with gold and gold metallic prints with a cream minky fur trim.

Cone shaped needlepunch to cover plant tower cut to size.
Cone shaped needlepunch to cover lining cut to size.
Rectangular arm piece needle punch cut to size.
0.5m gold speckled fabric for the robe and battery pack pocket.
0.5m fusible pellon for jacket
0.5m fabric for jacket

Strong threads for gathering

Materials required to complete your Santa:
Sewing threads – white and gold (I used Gutermann 893)
3 AA batteries for the seed lights
Scrapbooking or fabric hole punch 1/8th inch
Fraycheck or clear nail polish
Quick dry craft glue eg. Helmar craft glue
 
General requirements of scissors, sewing machine and pins, needles, Sewing threads to match fabrics.
